INSTRUCTION

Mr. Mike shared the project options available during our first lecture. Following that, we formed groups of 5 to 6 people. I selected to work together with Raemi (ED), JiaChen (ED), HuaiYi (DA), and Er Xin Ru (UI/UX) on the AVATAR CREATIONS R&D Project with the Experiential Design Team as our industry collaborators. We discussed leadership throughout our first week and eventually chose Raemi to be our group leader.

| Contextual Research :

Following a brief discussion, we have devised the research outline and allocated specific parts to each member of our group for the contextual research.

Research on competitors:

In our discussion, we extensively analyzed Mat-Oyen, a competitor in the animal avatar hosting podcasts industry, aiming to grasp their strategies and distinctive selling points. To delve deeper, we crafted specific questionnaires tailored for Mr. Fariz, emphasizing Mat-Oyen's design and visual representation:

Creating Personas & Questions :

After a short discussion with Mr. Mike, we were able to identify a few sorts of personalities, like a cat lover, a fan of local celebrities, a Grab driver who can relate, and a company looking for a brand ambassador like Mat-Oyen. We spoke about our thoughts on these identities and put them down on the Miro Board.

Following that, we were able to develop a series of questions for each persona and list out in Miro. After that we had modified some questions after received Mr. Mike 's feedback and we create a Google form link and put all our question in.

Here is the table that show who we were going to send out to :

After receiving all of the replies, we compiled them all and conducted an analysis to figure out what the next step should be.

| Art Direction :

We decided to go with the bright colour scheme

REFLECTION

Creating Mat-Oyen's avatar has been an eye-opening experience. It required a mix of creativity and technical skill to capture this unique character. Exploring design, visuals, and user experience was both challenging and rewarding. Working together and sharing innovative ideas throughout this process enriched the project and expanded our horizons. It's a great example of how teamwork and creativity can bring digital characters to life.
